One year Later

A year after the election, my words of November 2004 seem more valid than ever. Unfortunately, the Democrats just can’t seem to grow any “balls”. I don’t know if their corporate “owners” keep them in check or something more sinister, like blackmail, is at work. Whatever the reason, very little in the way of progress seems possible under the current system. Perhaps a Third Party of some kind could catch fire. The nation seems disillusioned and angry enough to gravitate that way, but it would require a massive popular movement and a lot of money to pull if off. On the other hand, Katrina and the unfolding corruption scandals seem to have re-animated the former zombie MSM, at least a bit.

Is there reason for hope?
